ENFJ Personality: How to change the world (with leadership and charm!)

ENFJ Personality: How to change the world (with leadership and charm!)

I can change the world! I will be the
sunlight in your universe! I don’t really know what that was.
The ENFJ myers-briggs personality type is known for connecting with others,
being a champion or an advocate for causes, and speaking out on issues that
are important to them. Famous likely ENFJ changemakers include Martin Luther King jr., Nelson Mandela, and Bono. If you are an ENFJ, or think you
might be, in this video we’re gonna explore some ways that you might change the world! Welcome back to another video! If we haven’t met yet, my name is Amber
Melanie Smith, and I make videos to help changemakers with tips and strategies
to help you change the world while living a life of impact and purpose. So,
I’m personally in ENFJ, but I’m kind of close to the “I” (introvert) line because I have those introvert days where I just need to not people at all. When I was in
college in my Nonprofit Management Studies classes, one of my professors
commented how there is a disproportionate amount of ENFJs
in those types of classes. He commented that, you know, ENFJs are just
naturally drawn to social change, and social impact projects. And so I thought
that was really interesting and wanted to kind of explore that a little bit in
this video. For those of you who may not be sure what your myers-briggs is yet
I’ve left a couple of links in the description of this video below. You can
check that out and take some of the quizzes that they have and assess
yourself and let us know in the comments what your personality type is! If you
like this video and this topic please let me know! Drop a comment, give it a
thumbs up! I am very interested in exploring different ways that people of
all personalities can make a difference in the world, and that is sort of the
reason behind this video. But if you’re interested in hearing me talk about some
of the other myers-briggs personality types and special ways that they might
make an impact – I would love to hear it and I will get those videos out to you.
Okay, so before I get into some ways that enfjs can change the world, let’s just quickly review some the ENFJ personality traits. ENFJs make up about 2-3 % of the
global population they estimate, and are known for being charismatic, warm,
engaging, they like to talk sometimes, they are known for being altruistic, and
many of them feel that they are naturally born leaders. ENFJs are all
about figuring out ways to improve people’s lives and help them meet their
full potential. ENFJ weaknesses include sometimes being a little bit too
idealistic – can relate – insecure, sensitive, and sometimes it can be a little bit
difficult as an ENFJ to make really hard decisions. If this sounds like you, you
might be an ENFJ! ENFJs like being organized and having your teams – we need to connect with other people in our lives and our work to be happy. And we
really need to feel trusted. Enfjs are also a little bit unhappy when we have
to turn off our emotions, or get too far into what we think are insignificant
details of a task, or getting in the weeds. Okay so enfjs – here are some ways that you can change the world. As an ENFJ you need to be able to make a difference in a way where you can connect with other
people and be part of planning and organizing. As an ENFJ you probably have
the patience to stick it out for the long haul so you could tackle some
really big social issues if you are going down a path of changemaking, but
the catch is you really need to be surrounded by people who care about the
cause and who can encourage you along the way so that you can stay motivated.
In terms of careers in changemaking that might be great for an ENFJ, we’ve
got community leader or politician – your need to connect with other people and be
a spokesperson for a cause could make you really well-suited for this, but
perhaps you might enjoy doing this on a local level because some of the larger
political establishments might make it hard for you to be vulnerable and show
your emotions, which is something that’s really important to you. If you’re in a business setting I can see you wanting to make your business a
force for good, so some kind of corporate social responsibility role where you are
getting to help determine which charities your company is going to
donate to, or even rallying your co-workers to go volunteer for a cause
might be a really good fit for you. If you are thinking about a non-profit
career as an ENFJ, executive director, fundraiser, or public relations
coordinator might be a really good fit for you. In these roles you can be
leading others, you can be setting the big vision, and you can be building
relationships with people in your community and establishing that trust
that is so important to you as an ENFJ. As a volunteer there’s such a big
difference that you can make as an ENFJ! One really great role that could be
very well-suited to you is as a mentor. You could be a mentor to youth you could
be a mentor or a buddy to someone who is developing life skills you love to see
people meet their potential and love helping them get there along a similar
line being a companion or a visitor to homebound or isolated seniors might be a
good fit for you this allows you to connect very deeply and personally with
someone who needs you and it means you can see your impact right away
another great volunteer role for you as an ENFJ might be service project
organizer this will allow you to play that leadership role you’re so good at
but you can also organize really effective events and you just love
seeing a group of people come together similarly an event planner for
fundraising for charity thinking of something like a 5k or organizing a gala
might be just what you need to get excited doing a fundraising event means
that you can also tap into your personal networks of friends to get them rallying
behind your cause which would really invigorate you as an ENFJ in the
activism realm being some kind of activist campaign coordinator someone
who has the loud speaker someone who is rallying people to move into the street
or getting people to show up at an event these would be things that you’d be
really good at and that would really make you feel fulfilled because
you can see all of the people that you’ve gathered right away and feel the
power of that crowd behind them in support of the cause that you care about
are you an ENFJ or do you know one how are you helping make a difference leave
your ideas and thoughts in the comments below and share with everyone so we can
get some ideas and work on our change making together that’s all I got I
really hope you liked this video once again don’t forget to subscribe because
I make weekly videos on social change social impact nonprofits leadership
service and so much more also if you are on Facebook don’t forget to check out my
group change of the world or bust where I’m having conversations with other
changemakers around the globe on how we can all make a difference together
