What happens when you melt copper? It takes the form of the mould you pour it in. If you want to make a glass, then pour the melted copper in the mould of a glass. It will take the form of a glass. Similar is our mind! It melts! If it melts for a house, then the house leaves an impression in the mind. If it melts for a woman, then the woman leaves an impression. The one for whom the mind will melt, will leave an impression on the heart. And if it melts for God, God will leave an impression on the heart. As simple as that. Look, Attachment is of two types. You get attached to the world in two ways and you also get attached to God in two ways. Attachment to the world can be positive or negative. You can get attached with love or hatred. So, your mind will go where its attachment is. And it will melt for it. And the one for whom the mind will melt, will leave its impression on the heart. So, the method is the same. If your mind gets attached to the world, it will become a cause for bondage. And if it gets attached to God, it will become a cause for salvation. The method is the same. Like, the Gopis loved Shri Krishna favourably. They attained God. Kansa thought of Shri Krishna unfavourably, with hatred. But his mind is thinking of Shri Krishna. One will get the fruits according to whom one is thinking about.Kansa also attained the Lord’s Abode. Be neutral to the world! Because, if you love, you will be trapped in it and if you hate, then also you will be trapped in it. The mind will melt. This is detachment. Neutral to the world! And Attachment of the mind to God!
