We’re down here at Nature at the Confluence which is an environmental center that has recently opened in the Beloit area. We
really built this in the middle of urban industry and we can hear the road noise,
we can hear a foundry in the background. You can also hear the water flowing over
the rocks, you can hear the wind rustling in the trees, you hear the geese flying
overhead. So nature is always in the city and we are rediscovering this place and
bringing it back to life. It’s been sort of dumped on in the last 50 to 75
years, and so we’ve spent the last three years bringing it back to life restoring it. In the very heart of the city, you can enjoy
a natural space. You can go kayaking all the way through the city of Beloit. You
can see the wild side of Beloit! When you’re kayaking through the city of Beloit, on the beautiful Turtle Creek, right here, you don’t even know you’re in the city,
you’re actually just paddling through the woods. So it’s really amazing because most of time you’d have no clue where you’re at and have no idea
you’re right in the middle of city. I invite anybody to come down. You can take walks on our trails and sit down by the creek and relax.
Bring a picnic and immerse yourself in nature and let it surround you. Again,
we’re an urban environmental center. We are just steps away from
the city, but you’ll be amazed how much nature is right here just waiting for you. Plan your Beloit getaway today!
