– [Colin] It’s the middle of the night. – [Dawn] Awesome, Freya. – [Colin] We are really doing this, solid, for your leg-work there. – [Dawn] I think she actually, oh. – [Colin] Yeah, she’s not. – [Dawn] I like, she actually was asleep. – [Colin] Yeah, that’s
what you get for thinking. – [Dawn] All right, will
you get up with her? – [Colin] What? – [Dawn] If she is awake,
will you get up with her? – [Colin] What? – [Dawn] You know
exactly what I just said. If she’s awake, will you get up with her? – [Colin] What? – [Dawn] Oh my gosh, seriously. – We’re up. And by we, I mean Davis and me. – [Davis] Get up, get up, get up. – [Dawn] No thanks. (upbeat music) (child laughing) – Hi. (child laughing) (bell ringing) (upbeat music) – [Colin] It’s Nature’s Colin, great. (guitar strumming) (moans) We’re just around three weeks out. I’ve missed a few workouts
in the last few days just because life has been like, not, I mean hard is the
wrong word, but yeah, hard. I’ve got a one month old, I’ve got a two year old, and I’ve got a wife, and I’ve got my own
dumb brain to deal with. I need a coach, maybe like this guy. You can do it, come on, Colin. I don’t want to do it. But you signed up for
this so you gotta do it. I don’t gotta do
anything, I’m a grown man. You’re acting like a child. Just do it! Why are you yelling at me? I don’t understand. – (mumbles) – [Colin] What? – (mumbles) – [Colin] I can’t hear you. It sounds like you got
marbles in your mouth. All right, Buddy, so it’s movie time? – Dance, go, go, go! Dancin’, dancin’, dancin’,
dance, dance, dance. – [Dawn] Go, dance! – Say, you’re watching Nature’s Colin! – You’re watchin’ Nature Tolin. (blender whirring) – Yo, dude. – [Dustin] Hey there, what’s up, Colin? – I’m in a bit of a crisis, friend. – [Dustin] What now? – I don’t know. – [Dustin] You called the right guy. – All right, I’m tired, man, like, raising these kids. There’s a thing they don’t tell you. You have kids, right, and it’s beautiful. It’s an amazing, gorgeous
journey, having children. What they don’t tell you, or what they don’t tell guys like me is, dude, you are kind of having to dig deep when it was just you. – [Dustin] I think we all have. It’s hard to avoid having
too much on your plate, but it seems like you’re kinda getting your priorities together, which
is, I respect that, a lot. – We’ll see. – [Dustin] And then you got a newborn so what’s a guy gonna do? Man, I’ve known you
for a long time, Colin, and I think you’re going to be okay. You gotta see it through. And, also, I’ve got a plane ticket. – (laughs) That’s the
biggest motivation I have, is like listen, I’m coming up there. – [Dustin] Yeah. – Sometimes it’s good
to just be reminded of, why I have to do this. I can do it! – [Dustin] You can do it, Man. I know you can do it. – I’m wondering if I’m gonna continue this routine, moving forward. I’ve been thinking a lot
about post hike stuff. I think I’m startin’
to see little results. I’m definitely feeling
more fit, like when I hike, but we’re gonna keep at it. Here we go again. Read it and weep, I feel good! (motivational music) – I’ve booked a personal
shopper here at REI to kinda help me get outfitted because I have nothing, right. I got boots, but I’m gonna need a little bit more than boots. So, we can find her. – Welcome, Colin, nice to meet you!
– Marguerite, nice to meet you too
– Yeah, it is me, Marguerite, sorry, thank you. You will need everything I saw. – Yes. – Lovely, should we start with backpacks? – [Colin] I love it, let’s go. – Okay. Try this guy first. – Okay, that feels nice. – Let’s give this a whirl. – That feels nice. – First, Colin, can you feel
a difference between the bags? – I can, yes, so, this one
is more comfortable for me. – Did you wanna walk around
and go up the stairs, – Yeah. – or do you want
– let’s go up some stairs. I have a limited budget, per se, to work on some of this stuff. So, what would be the most
crucial piece of an attire that you would say, okay, you don’t wanna, you don’t wanna miss out on
getting the right thing, here. – Shells are essential. – [Colin] Okay. – But we have a variety of ways that you can buy them at
different price points. – Okay, should we try
some of this stuff on? – [Marguerite] Let’s try it on. – All right! (upbeat music) – I’m thinking I’ll probably
need the XL version of this. I feel like a sausage casing, right now. I like that hood though. (zipping) – That feels kinda cool. These are stylish. Oop. (zipping) I’m feeling good. – [Marguerite] It looks good. – Yeah, there we go,
I’m ready for anything. In we go. Oh yeah, I am intent about this. The thing about hiking is it’s intense. I’m a dad so that’s what
you get, you get dad jokes. – Also, keep in mind that
your pad is also essential to keep you insulated from the ground. The bag alone, doesn’t do the work. – How do people ever get up and go hiking? I’m so comfortable right now. I’m just gonna like, yeah, so if you guys could block off this section
just so nobody would, – [Marguerite] Just in the corner. – Yeah, maybe dim the lights
a little bit too, I think. – [Marguerite] Turn down the music. – Yeah, or just something a little more, you know, a little sleepy time music. – Nature sounds. – Nature sounds, maybe
if we have any chamomile or anything, tea, this would be. Okay, Marguerite, I
think the damage is done. – [Marguerite] We had a great time. – That’s just fabulous. One more step closer. (slow beat music) I was up all night with the baby, who grown so loud. I don’t understand, I don’t understand how a little human being could be so loud. We gotta face the day. (slow beat music) I’m tired today, gang. Freya is louder than a month old should be.
– (Davis mumbles) Louder than a blender? – [Davis] Yeah. – Yeah, that’s a good, simile is like or as,
– Hyperbole. louder than a blender, yes, hyperbole. – [Davis] Hyperbole! – Thank you. – [Davis] Googly eyes. – The googly eyes that
were just in your hands? – Yeah. – What did you do with them? – I put ’em in the blender. – Oh, did you put ’em in the blender? One, two, three googly eyes. In the blender! – I wanna bite, I wanna bite. – It’s all going really
well, to be honest. Dawn, the journey is the destination. I just came up with that. – Genius. All right, if there
wasn’t already a date set, if you didn’t have to book a hike, is there any piece of you
that might just be like, I don’t really have to do it? – Right now, in life,
yes, because it’s like, I don’t know about you, I
didn’t sleep last night. – [Dawn] Yeah. Chia seeds. – Ch, ch, Chia seeds. – Ch, ch, Chia. – If you could have a
Chia Pet with any person’s face on it, Davis, who would it be? – A bee. – [Colin] A bee, just
a singular bumble bee or you talking about Bea Arthur? – Bea Arthur. – Here’s your next favorite song. ♪ Thank you for being a friend ♪ ♪ Traveled down the road and back again ♪ ♪ Your heart is true ♪ ♪ Your a pal and a confidant ♪ ♪ Bum, bum, bum ♪ ♪ And if you threw a party ♪ ♪ Invited everyone you knew ♪ ♪ The purpose you would see ♪ ♪ The biggest gift would be from me ♪ ♪ And the sign that would say ♪ ♪ Thank you for being a friend ♪ ♪ Bum, bum, bum, bum, bum, bum, bum ♪ – [Colin] Bing!

  1. imo Colin should have first purchased his tent and sleeping system prior to purchasing a hiking pack. Then imo he would have known how much room he needs to fit the rest of his gear and or decide to attaché his sleep system with a waterproof bag and attach it outside of his pack and have more room for essential gear inside his pack.
